Responsibilities
- Own the science and technical direction for Compass’s agentic products.
- Ship retailer-assistant features end-to-end across various platforms.
- Translate ambiguous product bets into tactical plans.
- Set standards for evaluation and experiment-driven development.
- Make pragmatic engineering choices for product evolution.
- Collaborate with engineers on architecture and tradeoffs.
- Enhance team judgment through prototypes and design reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building and shipping production ML/AI systems.
- Hands-on ownership of applied-science aspects including data and modeling.
- Experience shipping agentic or LLM-powered features in production.
- Strong foundation in applied ML and data science.
- Track record of shipping across multiple tech stacks.
- Proficient in using AI coding tools and workflows.
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions.
