Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Investigate a wide range of security and privacy events to assess risk to Google.
- Participate in large-scale security and privacy incidents, write incident reports, and contribute to post-mortems.
- Participate in internal training to ensure forensic best practices are followed.
- Work with teams across Google to discover new investigative and forensic capabilities.
- Develop internal and open-source incident-response tools, including digital forensic toolkits.
- Participate as a member of a global 24/7 on-call response team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Five years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.
- Five years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- Five years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
- Four years of practical experience with digital forensic analysis.
- Experience with the current threat landscape, common attack types, and malware capabilities is preferred.
- Preferred experience securing at least two operating systems, such as Android, Linux, or Unix.
- Preferred detailed understanding of digital forensics and incident-response tools.
- Preferred experience with reverse engineering or firmware analysis.
