Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions aligned with the enterprise platform capabilities roadmap.
- Research and pilot emerging GenAI technologies and practices.
- Build AI-powered applications, RAG solutions, intelligent agents, automation workflows, and reusable AI platform capabilities.
- Create and maintain technical designs covering application functionality, solution architecture, data models, interfaces, and integrations.
- Enhance DevOps practices and tools to improve automation, software guardrails, development speed, cost, and risk.
- Stay current with cloud technologies, AWS services, and AI/ML.
- Provide post-production support, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement for deployed applications.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, data engineers, security and governance partners, business stakeholders, and junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 year building and operating solutions on AWS.
- Hands-on expertise with Python and AWS Lambda.
- Experience developing AI bots or agents and familiarity with chatbot development, RAG techniques, and vector databases.
- Experience with DevOps culture, tools, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to assess alternatives, risks, and benefits.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases, Amazon Bedrock Guardrails, Agents for Amazon Bedrock, or Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
- Preferred experience with Amazon OpenSearch Service, PostgreSQL with pgvector, or other enterprise vector-search technologies.
- Preferred experience with AWS Glue, data pipelines, PySpark, analytics workloads, Amazon QuickSight, or a relevant AWS certification.
- Must obtain Reliability Status Clearance and satisfactorily complete applicable background checks before starting employment.
