Base Salary

$109k - $145k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product plans and requirements and generate software specifications for new products and enhancements.
  • Support bids and proposals by generating engineering labor and material estimates based on requirements and scope.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware development, and technical staff to create sustainable solutions and resolve software or hardware problems.
  • Plan, design, develop, integrate, debug, and test embedded computing software, bootloaders, device drivers, applications, and test software.
  • Drive architecture decisions and diagnose and resolve advanced software defects.
  • Evaluate customer-reported issues and implement software modifications or enhancements.
  • Support software design and test documentation and user manual development.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. DoD clearance are required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Requires 8–12+ years of progressive software development experience, including ownership of complex applications or subsystems.
  • Requires 5+ years developing software systems and 4+ years of software project lead experience.
  • Experience with computer architecture, real-time embedded software, and disciplined engineering processes is required.
  • Hands-on experience with C/C++, Linux, VxWorks, device drivers, Bash or C shell scripting, Python, LabVIEW, and IPMI is required.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Eclipse-based IDEs, AMD/Xilinx Vivado and Vitis, Petalinux, GCC, CMake, Yocto, and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with Intel x86 processors, ARM, and AMD Zynq MPSoCs is required.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA, PCIe Gen3/4, SPI, I2C, RS232, and RS422 is required.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, JTAG emulators, and other laboratory debugging tools is required.
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS, Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence is required.
  • Familiarity with Green Hills Multi, COSMIC, ClearQuest, VectorCAST, LabVIEW, and the LynxOS Hypervisor is preferred.
  • Experience with full software lifecycle development under DO-178C and CMMI and an understanding of software regression testing and verification are required.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, customer-interface, technical-issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration abilities are required.
