Responsibilities
- Automate vulnerability-management tasks such as scan orchestration, data normalization, and remediation tracking.
- Develop and maintain Python or similar-language scripts and middleware using FastAPI, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
- Query and manipulate security datasets to provide insights into the organization's vulnerability posture.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate patching and remediation workflows.
- Document and build automated security playbooks and operational workflows.
- Evaluate security technologies for API capabilities and integration potential.
- Apply NIST and CIS frameworks to automate compliance checks and infrastructure hardening.
- Monitor and investigate security alerts and issues, analyzing root causes and technical impact.
- Track current security threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and technology advancements related to remediation automation.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field focused on software development or systems.
- Hands-on programming experience and understanding of database structures, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, and FastAPI.
- Basic understanding of network protocols, systems administration, and endpoint management.
- Ability to identify manual process gaps and solve them through programmatic automation.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a security operations environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and collaboration.
- Ability to manage assigned automation projects independently and complete complex technical deliverables.
