Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver end-to-end production-grade GenAI solutions, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and multi-model orchestration.
- Define AI roadmaps, lead technical design and governance, own architecture decision records, and run design reviews.
- Build and scale model-serving infrastructure and AI gateway or routing layers using Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Azure OpenAI.
- Deliver multi-cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform or Pulumi, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.
- Implement observability, LLMOps, token and cost dashboards, drift detection, guardrails, output filtering, prompt-injection defenses, and OWASP LLM Top 10 mitigations.
- Mentor engineers, lead code and architecture reviews, establish engineering standards, and translate business objectives into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of professional experience is required; the technical qualifications also specify 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of AI, ML, or GenAI delivery experience in production environments.
- Experience leading complex, end-to-end, multi-cloud AI solutions beyond prototypes and prior experience as a tech lead or principal engineer managing 10 or more engineers.
- Advanced Python skills, including packaging and production-grade code quality.
- Experience with Go or Java/Kotlin for platform and infrastructure services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of REST, gRPC, event-driven architecture using Kafka or Kinesis, clean architecture, and domain-driven design.
- Experience designing RAG pipelines, chunking strategies, embedding models, vector stores, knowledge graphs, agentic frameworks, prompt engineering, and LLM evaluation.
- Fine-tuning experience with LoRA, QLoRA, and PEFT, including dataset curation and evaluation, is highly valued.
- Deep expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, networking, IAM, and storage.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including EKS, AKS, or GKE, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
- Ability to create and communicate architecture artifacts such as ADRs and solution design documents to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of responsible AI, PII redaction, output filtering, OWASP LLM Top 10, AI Act or GDPR awareness, FinOps, and token cost optimization.
- Cloud certifications, AI ethics and model-card experience, bias auditing or fairness testing, platform engineering, service mesh, API gateway patterns, or regulated-industry experience are preferred.
