Responsibilities

Design, develop, deliver, and maintain internal services and tools used by the development organization.
Build complex backend services and APIs primarily in Go.
Deploy owned services, maintain Helm charts, and work directly with Kubernetes clusters.
Manage infrastructure for owned services using Terraform.
Take operational ownership and participate in on-call support for responsible services.
Improve existing internal services, integrations, and developer tooling.
Collaborate with development teams as internal customers and contribute to other parts of the system when helpful.

Strong, current expertise in Go.
Experience developing complex backend services and APIs.
Confidence deploying services with Kubernetes and Helm and working with Kubernetes clusters.
Experience managing service infrastructure with Terraform.
Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and key-value stores such as Redis.
Advanced AI fluency, including applying AI to complex problem solving, using retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluating model or approach cost-benefit tradeoffs.
Experience with AWS, GitLab CI, or building internal developer tools is nice to have.
