Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Kotlin Agent SDK as an internal product and shape its runtime and client-facing contracts.
- Design and ship the agent identity layer and authentication plumbing so agents can act with real user identities.
- Integrate telemetry, error reporting, inference, and anonymization into the SDK by default.
- Create the SDK test kit, architecture tests, and evaluation workflow for running agents against the ML team’s evaluation harness before model changes ship.
- Own Koog version upgrades, format compatibility, and shared limits for tool output and token usage.
- Gather requirements from consuming engineering squads and communicate technical reasoning clearly.
Requirements
- Several years of production backend development experience in Kotlin.
- Experience building an SDK or internal platform consumed by other engineers, including managing published contracts and versioning.
- Experience setting up testing and observability tooling for a codebase.
- Familiarity with AI agent systems, orchestration, and evaluation through professional or personal projects.
- Clear English communication and ability to collaborate across engineering teams.
