Responsibilities
- Design and build the core computation engine powering Pigment’s business planning platform.
- Optimize systems that process and aggregate millions of records in real time.
- Develop and maintain backend services using the company’s modern technology stack.
- Improve system reliability, maintainability, observability, performance, and test coverage.
- Contribute to technical architecture and backend decision-making.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define and deliver product features.
- Support API integration and improve the user experience through cross-team collaboration.
- Champion clean code, documentation, and modern engineering practices.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on production systems.
- Ability to design object-oriented software using languages such as C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, Python, or Ruby.
- Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
- Interest in deeply understanding products and their value to users.
- Humility and willingness to grow regardless of seniority.
- Fluent English; French is not required.
