Base Salary
$86k - $138k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Python backend services, APIs, automation logic, and service-level components.
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL database structures, including SQL queries, triggers, and stored functions.
- Implement microservices and security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
- Contribute to frontend development using TypeScript and modern component-based web frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, iterative delivery, and other software development activities.
- Investigate and resolve production issues using structured troubleshooting practices.
- Use Git-based version control and collaborate on code reviews.
- Support containerized application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Contribute to platform integration and collaboration with cross-functional engineering, customer, partner, MBSE, and test engineering teams.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field plus 7+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree plus 5+ years; or a master's degree plus 3+ years; an additional four years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and maintain the clearance.
- Proficiency in Python software development for backend applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database design and development, including SQL queries, triggers, and stored functions.
- Experience with microservice architecture and security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
- Experience supporting frontend development with TypeScript and modern UI frameworks.
- Experience with Git-based source control, including GitHub or GitLab.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and software development practices.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, message-driven or event-driven software development, RBAC, and ABAC.
- Experience investigating production or operational issues, integrating with customers or partners, and collaborating with MBSE or test engineering teams is desired.
- Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and frameworks is desired.
