Responsibilities
- Develop low-level frameworks and services connecting machine-learning models and inference engines to translation experiences across Apple platforms.
- Design, implement, maintain, debug, and test software features.
- Work with partner teams including Asset Management, Phone/FaceTime, and Messages.
- Contribute to overall system design, including multithreaded architectures and cross-process communication.
- Lead projects and people as a senior team member.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development experience with Objective-C and/or Swift.
- Experience with object-oriented software design and programming.
- Experience with framework-level programming, multithreaded architectures, and cross-process communication.
- Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong testing discipline, project leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field with 10+ years of industrial working experience.
- Preferred: 10+ years of Objective-C and/or Swift development experience.
- Preferred: experience integrating or adopting language-modeling technologies in user features.
- Preferred: understanding of delivering features for international audiences.
- Preferred: experience with AI tools for coding, reviews, and code analysis.
