Responsibilities
- Architect and build AWS and Azure cloud networks across IL-4, IL-5, and IL-6+ classification levels.
- Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure across platforms, classification domains, and program requirements.
- Design VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, peering configurations, routing, DNS, and boundary protection controls.
- Implement identity and access management frameworks, service account architectures, and least-privilege access models.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure, tooling, and capabilities for multiple critical U.S. Government programs.
- Support cloud Provisional Authorization processes, inherited control models, RMF processes, and ATO activities.
- Document architectures, configurations, and security controls required to achieve and maintain ATO.
- Identify and remediate findings from STIGs, vulnerability scans, and SCA activities.
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503, JSIG, and other applicable classified-information frameworks.
- Partner with security and engineering teams and advocate for emerging cloud security capabilities.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or infrastructure experience, including significant experience architecting and operating AWS and Azure environments at scale.
- Active Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI; an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is preferred.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification such as CASP+, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent is required.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure at IL-4, IL-5, and/or IL-6+ impact levels.
- Deep expertise with AWS and Azure network architecture, including VPCs, VNets, transit gateways, routing, DNS, and boundary protection.
- Experience managing multi-cloud environments across platforms and classification domains and supporting RMF, ATO, NIST 800-53, and NSS compliance activities.
- Experience producing architecture diagrams, SSPs, and other government program compliance artifacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS or Azure government cloud certifications, experience supporting multiple DoD or IC programs, familiarity with DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipeline security, Cross Domain Solutions, data guards, zero trust architectures, FedRAMP High, CMMC, and DoD IL-5/IL-6 authorizations.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements.
