Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, scalable .NET applications powered by LLMs and Azure AI services.
- Develop AI-enabled solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Own features from discovery and proof of value through implementation and production readiness.
- Build reusable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure.
- Prepare knowledge sources for retrieval through document chunking, indexing, and embeddings/vectorization.
- Ensure AI solutions are explainable, auditable, secure, and aligned with engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Data, Security, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to development standards, code quality, and technical innovation.
- Deliver Generative AI solutions that automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing applications with C# and .NET, including .NET Core or .NET 6+.
- Experience building secure, scalable, enterprise-grade backend applications.
- Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, and cloud-native architectures.
- Practical experience using Azure OpenAI Service for chat and completion capabilities.
- Experience with Azure AI Studio or Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions.
- Strong understanding of Azure AI Search, including hybrid retrieval, semantic ranking, and citation-backed responses.
- Understanding of when to use RAG versus prompt engineering or fine-tuning.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, responsible AI, secure software development, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong collaboration and English communication skills.
- Preferred experience in Financial Services, Banking, FinTech, or Financial Crime domains.
- Preferred familiarity with KYC/KYB, name screening, transaction monitoring, fraud detection, cross-border payments, or case investigation.
- Preferred experience evaluating LLM providers and comparing Azure OpenAI with other foundation models.
- Preferred familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred experience with vector databases, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
