Supply Chain Tooling Engineer Intern

Responsibilities
- Build internal supply chain tools, dashboards, and trackers to improve operational visibility.
- Contribute to TMS, WMS, and MRP systems by developing data pipelines, integrations, and models.
- Analyze ERP, supplier portal, and shipping-system data to identify bottlenecks, blocked orders, and disruptions.
- Prototype inventory, network, warehouse-slotting, and staffing/labor optimization solutions.
- Develop forecasting models for material demand and supplier commitment reliability.
- Deploy solutions inside existing planning tools and iterate based on feedback from planners, buyers, and operations managers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Comfortable writing Python and SQL and interested in building tools rather than only analyzing data.
- Exposure to optimization or operations research, or to basic machine learning or anomaly detection, through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Familiarity with data analysis and dashboarding; experience with pipelines, APIs, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Builder mindset, ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and interest in improving operational processes.
- Experience in a technology-enabled energy, logistics, or manufacturing environment is a plus.
