Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions across Agile teams.
- Build fault-tolerant, secure, observable, and resilient cloud-based services and REST microservices APIs.
- Develop event-driven systems for asynchronous communication between systems and components.
- Use Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, and SQL to create platform and application solutions.
- Design and deliver solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, AWS tools and services, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to translate business requirements and architectural direction into functional and technical code.
- Conduct peer and code reviews, maintain code quality, and support production delivery.
- Mentor engineering community members and contribute to recruiting and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or information technology, plus five or more years of experience.
- Intermediate to advanced programming skills in modern languages and frameworks including Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience delivering Kubernetes-based microservices on AWS in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment.
- Strong proficiency developing scalable and resilient REST microservices APIs and responsive web applications.
- Experience with object-oriented design, design patterns, coding standards, testing, and Test-Driven Development.
- Experience with version control, branching, merging, code reviews, observability, performance tracking, distributed-service troubleshooting, and failure resolution.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SOX, PCI-DSS, or GDPR is a bonus.
- AI coding assistant experience and relevant AWS certifications are additional bonuses.
