Responsibilities
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and ongoing support processes.
- Build tools and pipelines for continuous integration and delivery across environments.
- Automate code packaging, deployment, and configuration management processes.
- Document development, procedures, and test plans as needed.
- Monitor system and service performance and escalate issues to appropriate teams.
- Collaborate with delivery and operations teams to optimize software engineering throughput and quality.
- Use AI tools to assist with productivity, testing, and automation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field, including relevant coursework in software development, systems, networking, or security.
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers, and databases.
- Experience with source code, build, deployment, orchestration, or configuration management tools.
- Experience writing code or scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
- Familiarity with public cloud architecture and technologies, preferably AWS.
- Interest in automation, secure and resilient applications, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with AI tools that support software development, testing, and automation.
- Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate technical thoughts and processes in writing and verbally.
Benefits
- Hourly base pay of $24.23-$36.35 per hour.
- No remote option; the intern must work at the specified Cox location in Draper, Utah, with approximately 5% travel.
- Summer 2027 internship; intern/co-op sessions are temporary employment with no guaranteed full-time conversion.
