Base Salary
$190k - $380k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction and architecture for the Nutanix Cloud Manager Data Platform.
- Design and develop data-platform features for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Lead data-modeling discussions and select solutions for requirements from service teams.
- Work across API gateways, message buses, databases, and database abstraction layers.
- Propose and drive adoption of operational data-platform best practices, including data catalogs, tracing capabilities, and configuration-driven change.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, and documentation teams across multiple geographies.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead design and code-review best practices.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience architecting and building highly available and scalable data platforms.
- Experience with one or more of Python, Golang, C++, or Java.
- Experience working with database technologies and optimizing workloads.
- Experience with big data technologies, message queues, API gateways, the Kubernetes ecosystem, and microservice patterns.
- Experience with open standards for data transport and storage such as OTEL, Apache Parquet, and Apache Iceberg.
- Prior experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment and knowledge of SDLC practices.
- Awareness of data marts, data lakes, and data warehouses is a plus.
- Experience shipping data platforms as part of enterprise software is a plus.
