Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for middleware platforms using Chef InSpec, Jenkins, Ansible, and custom frameworks.
- Validate middleware configurations across on-premises and cloud environments against infrastructure standards.
- Collaborate with product, automation, and infrastructure teams to convert requirements into testable automation scenarios.
- Maintain regression, integration, system validation, and deployment-readiness test coverage for Tomcat, MQ, WebSphere, and RDQM.
- Analyze test results, log and triage defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Support Day 2 operations testing and participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
Requirements
- At least four years of related experience, including at least three years of QA testing and two years of hands-on test automation experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Java, TestNG, JUnit, Selenium, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Experience designing automated test scripts with Chef InSpec, Jenkins, Ansible, and custom frameworks.
- Knowledge of software testing lifecycle phases, regression, smoke and sanity, compatibility, system functional, and user acceptance testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline setup, XPath axes, CSS selectors, defect management using ALM, and Agile/Scrum management through JIRA.
- Experience with Maven, dependency management, and maintaining pom.xml files.
- Ability to write simple to medium-complexity SQL queries and interpret technical designs and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
