Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable microservices-based applications.
- Define and evolve software and infrastructure architecture for distributed cloud-based systems.
- Participate in ITIL service management processes, including incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Serve as the technical point of contact and manager for external software development providers.
- Implement secure coding practices and maintain application configuration standards in line with IT security policies.
- Drive improvements to the technology stack and infrastructure to increase reliability, performance, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and modern web development frameworks, especially Angular.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure architecture with experience designing distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of AWS components, specifically AWS S3 and AWS Load Balancers.
- Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka for real-time, scalable data pipelines.
- Strong proficiency with MongoDB and NoSQL database design.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and Agile development methodologies.
- Fluency in German; English proficiency is a plus.
- Knowledge of German security and governmental requirements.
- Kubernetes certification is preferred.
- Experience managing third-party offshore or nearshore development teams is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is preferred.
