Responsibilities

  • Embed with Finance teams to learn workflows including monthly close, reconciliations, reporting, rebate accounting, AP/AR, and FP&A.
  • Design, build, and ship AI agents and automations for finance workflows such as close checklists, anomaly detection, and rebate reconciliation.
  • Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite, spreadsheets, and Jetson’s data platform.
  • Develop live dashboards and tools for margins, cash position, AR/AP aging, budget versus actuals, and close progress.
  • Scope problems directly with stakeholders, iterate quickly, and drive solutions through adoption.
  • Generalize reusable capabilities into Jetson’s shared internal platform rather than creating isolated scripts.

Requirements

  • Strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and a track record of shipping usable software.
  • Fluency in TypeScript, Python, or another high-level programming language, with comfort using SQL, APIs, and cloud tooling.
  • Ability to communicate with accounting, FP&A, and leadership stakeholders, clarify requirements, explain tradeoffs, and drive adoption.
  • Ability and interest in learning financial workflows and handling sensitive data carefully; familiarity with close, reporting, FP&A, or an ERP such as NetSuite is a plus.
  • Experience building agentic and LLM-powered features, with understanding of latency, cost, reliability, evaluation, and graceful failure.
  • Comfort using AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor and working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
