Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow designs and deliverables.
- Build, maintain, debug, and optimize Flow Designer flows, subflows, actions, approvals, notifications, and error handling.
- Develop server-side and client-side scripts, including Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions.
- Implement roles, groups, and ACLs using least-privilege and data-segregation principles.
- Configure Service Portal pages, widgets, themes, and branding, including custom AngularJS widgets.
- Configure ServiceNow tables, fields, forms, lists, dictionary entries, related lists, and CMDB data structures.
- Build and support integrations using IntegrationHub, Spokes, REST/SOAP APIs, and authentication and monitoring patterns.
- Collaborate with QA and stakeholders on unit testing, defect remediation, UAT, code reviews, deployment readiness, and production support.
- Own work from solution design through configuration or development, testing support, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Troubleshoot complex flows, scripts, portal widgets, ACLs, and Business Rules while contributing to continuous improvement in a global Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience involving configuration and customization.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Flow Designer, scripting, Service Portal, Business Rules, ACLs, and custom widget development.
- Strong HTML, CSS, and AngularJS knowledge for Service Portal widget development.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts, including tables, relationships, CI classes, and identification and reconciliation fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and/or IntegrationHub and Spokes, including authentication, data mapping, transformations, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ITSM, HRSD, and CSM module configuration and customization.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, independent-work, and global collaboration skills.
- Exposure to MID Server-based integrations, ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, GRC, ITAM, Now Assist, AI Agents, and automation use cases is preferred.
