Base Salary
$133k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components for structured APIs used to program Marvell Ethernet transceivers.
- Develop and maintain Linux kernel PHY drivers for Ethernet transceiver products.
- Create utilities and tools for embedded software development, debugging, evaluation, and diagnostics.
- Build and maintain test infrastructure, test data analysis tools, and automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to analyze system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop Python-based GUIs and automated data-collection and analysis infrastructure.
- Support Field Application Engineering teams in resolving customer issues and providing technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or a related master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems across Linux and Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Visual Studio and system-level software development.
- Strong understanding of structured programming principles, including parameter passing, abstract data types, and data encapsulation.
- Solid Python experience for scripting and tool development.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, CI/CD workflows, and issue tracking systems such as Jira.
- Experience developing and debugging Linux kernel drivers, particularly PHY drivers.
- Experience with Ethernet transceiver device drivers and Ethernet physical-layer protocols.
- Familiarity with Ethernet switching, MAC/PHY/SerDes, MACsec, PTP, and high-availability systems.
- Hands-on exposure to AI-assisted software development, including GitHub Copilot.
- Demonstrated ability to follow coding standards and best practices, debug effectively, and collaborate with teams.
