Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and development of low-latency embedded firmware on ARM-based SoCs and optimize Linux networking stacks for wireless applications.
- Implement MAC software, mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols, network management software, and web interfaces.
- Develop security protocols, encryption algorithms, audio streaming, and push-to-talk voice applications.
- Improve product security and robustness for requirements such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria.
- Develop performance and reliability testing software.
- Develop and maintain device drivers and board support packages for ARM- and RISC-V-based systems.
- Customize Linux systems and write scripts.
- Perform related embedded software engineering duties and occasional field demonstrations or testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant engineering field.
- At least 8 years of relevant embedded systems software development experience.
- Hands-on lead expertise developing embedded Linux firmware on ARM processors for networking, signal processing, or wireless applications.
- Expertise in C programming and Linux kernel driver development.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- Preferred qualifications include security protocol and encryption experience, CNSA algorithm knowledge, socket programming, Internet and Ethernet protocols, MAC and networking-layer understanding, AMD UltraScale+ MPSoC and Microchip PolarFire SoC BSP development, IPsec, authentication, encryption, and Linux interrupt service routine development.
- Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug test.
