Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python software solutions and services for measuring AI-assisted application quality, reliability, performance, and safety.
- Build reusable platforms, frameworks, and tooling that enable consistent evaluation of AI-assisted applications across teams.
- Partner with data scientists and engineers to translate evaluation methodologies and requirements into technical solutions.
- Deploy and operate applications and services in Azure in collaboration with DevOps and platform teams.
- Own technical direction, promote engineering best practices, mentor engineers, and raise technical standards.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience developing production software, particularly with Python.
- Experience designing and delivering robust, scalable systems and services in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles including code quality, maintainability, security, and operational excellence.
- Experience influencing technical direction, driving engineering improvements, or mentoring other engineers.
- Experience building platforms, frameworks, or shared services for multiple users or teams.
- Curiosity about AI technologies and a commitment to using AI tools responsibly in software development.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps practices such as automated testing, source control workflows, application monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Experience deploying and operating applications and services on cloud platforms, ideally Azure, is desirable.
