Responsibilities
- Design and build shared authentication and authorization platform services, APIs, integrations, and automation.
- Unify authorization across three hosting environments while supporting correctness, performance, reliability, tenant isolation, and traceability.
- Write and review infrastructure, automation, tooling, and Go-based service code.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, upgrades, rollback, backup, recovery, and operational workflows through version-controlled delivery pipelines.
- Build documented, automated, self-service identity capabilities for product engineering teams.
- Deploy and operate containerized application services on Kubernetes in production.
- Own platform capabilities through production, including observability, performance testing, incident diagnosis, and prevention of recurring failures.
- Provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, and support for other engineers.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience building and operating platforms or shared infrastructure for software engineering teams.
- Strong coding and scripting skills applied to infrastructure, automation, deployment tooling, integrations, or services, with experience maintaining code, reviewing changes, and using automated tests.
- Experience automating provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational tasks through version-controlled, repeatable workflows.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and containers in an environment delivering and operating software applications.
- Practical experience with a major public cloud platform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and GitOps.
- Experience building reusable platform capabilities or self-service workflows that reduce manual intervention.
- Sound understanding of APIs, networking, data stores, distributed-system behavior, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience implementing authentication and access control in applications, APIs, or shared platform services.
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token-based authentication, secure validation, permission models, least privilege, tenant isolation, and trust boundaries.
- Ability to translate security requirements into working software, automated tests, and maintainable platform capabilities.
- Experience with access-control models including role-based, attribute-based, and relationship-based authorization.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, reliability practices, observability, performance testing, safe rollouts, rollback, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with Curity, Keycloak, SpiceDB, enterprise federation, SAML, policy-as-code, or distributed multi-tenant identity systems is preferred.
- Experience with Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Redpanda in production is preferred.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping production AI applications is required; experience limited to AI-assisted development tools is insufficient.
