Responsibilities
- Own high-level architecture and system design decisions for features, services, and platform components.
- Evaluate technical feasibility, trade-offs, estimates, and implementation approaches.
- Contribute hands-on as an individual contributor to critical and complex system components.
- Drive code quality, scalability, reusability, extensibility, and adherence to engineering standards.
- Support planning, technical roadmap alignment, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers and assist Team Leads with personal development plans.
- Promote documentation, knowledge sharing, and improvements to engineering culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including prior senior or lead engineering experience.
- Proven experience with Scala and Java.
- Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in product-based or B2B environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong system design, architectural thinking, software engineering practices, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective technical communication with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English and Ukrainian or Russian language skills.
- iGaming domain experience is preferred.
