Base Salary
$154k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on machine learning experiments involving order book analysis, alert detection, and sequential financial data.
- Develop and operate AI agent systems in production using disciplined LLM-based software engineering workflows.
- Own and evolve ML training and deployment infrastructure on Snowflake.
- Build production data pipelines processing terabytes of financial market data daily.
- Design and develop production-quality, test-driven Python code.
- Develop explainability and process-compliance solutions for AI and ML systems.
- Track and evaluate model performance across training, validation, inference, and monitoring.
- Provide code reviews, architecture guidance, and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Work across on-premises and cloud environments with complementary engineering teams.
- Produce ML proposals, experiment specifications, technical designs, testing scenarios, and other documentation.
- Communicate technical information to technical and end-user audiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
- Production machine learning experience with time-series or sequential data, including training, deployment, and monitoring at scale.
- Experience applying deep learning to temporal or representation problems, such as sequence models or time-series embeddings and similarity.
- Strong data reasoning skills and the ability to select appropriate data for modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, primarily using Python, with production practices including automated testing, Docker, and enterprise cloud data platforms.
- Experience with real-world governance and RBAC constraints in enterprise data environments.
- Depth in several areas including PyTorch and distributed deep learning, LLM APIs and agent orchestration, temporal modeling, or classical ML using scikit-learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
