Base Salary
$388k - $619k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate high-leverage managed compute services for internet-scale workloads.
- Design customer experiences and APIs that simplify large-scale computing.
- Build, maintain, and deploy complex distributed infrastructure features with broad organizational impact.
- Partner with Product, customers, stakeholders, and strategic partners to make infrastructure trade-offs and drive alignment.
- Mentor peer engineers and lead cross-functional projects from conception through production.
- Improve operational excellence, incident response, on-call practices, and related operational processes.
- Evaluate industry trends, architectures, features, and off-the-shelf services and recommend relevant improvements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience driving infrastructure changes at scale.
- Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and integrating with Kubernetes.
- Experience with complex distributed systems, backend services, AWS or cloud infrastructure, and Linux runtime environments.
- Experience with Golang, Java, and/or Python.
- Ability to manage ambiguous, cross-functional projects and balance customer, engineering, and stakeholder needs.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, analytical, problem-solving, ownership, and execution skills.
- Ability to mentor engineers and lead innovative solutions across functional teams.
