Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for Anrok's reliability, security, scalability, and performance.
- Drive technical decisions about our infrastructure.
- Identify and fix bugs and technical debt.
- Collaborate with other engineers and management to build high-impact solutions.
- Improve system observability and provide tools for product engineers.
- Scale the database layer through sharding, replication, and service splitting.
- Refactor existing systems to meet evolving needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience operating cloud-deployed software at scale using config-as-code.
- Experience managing relational databases at scale is a plus.
- Strong security mindset with attention to edge cases.
- Ability to think through problems thoroughly and articulate tradeoffs.
- Desire to share knowledge and level up peers.
