Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform for the SaaS product.
- Deploy, manage, secure, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure-as-code for automated cloud provisioning.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure and application delivery workflows.
- Establish logging, monitoring, alerting, and other observability solutions.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize the platform.
- Collaborate with development and product teams on scalable and reliable solutions.
- Drive DevOps practices and mentor junior engineers on Kubernetes, GCP, and Terraform.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and support incident response as a senior technical resource.
Requirements
- 6+ years of DevOps experience focused on cloud-native SaaS environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with GCP services including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, and IAM.
- Advanced experience managing, orchestrating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bitbucket, Buildkite, or Argo CD.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting and programming.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to Istio or Linkerd, cloud cost optimization, or FinOps is preferred.
- Experience with AWS or Azure is preferred.
- Certifications in GCP, Kubernetes, or Terraform are preferred.
