Responsibilities
- Own the cluster management user interface, including provisioning flows, natural language interfaces, and real-time proactive system insights.
- Design and build visualizations that make distributed system state understandable at a glance.
- Integrate the frontend with Kubernetes APIs, GitOps controllers, and gRPC/cRPC backends.
- Build scalable real-time reactive UIs with Convex.
- Prototype interaction patterns, test assumptions, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Collaborate with backend and platform teams on frontend protocols and architecture.
- Establish frontend engineering patterns and maintainable code-quality practices as an early team member.
Requirements
- Strong frontend fundamentals and experience shipping user-facing infrastructure or developer tools.
- End-to-end experience building Next.js applications with React, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui.
- Experience or familiarity with Convex and real-time/reactive UI patterns.
- Production Kubernetes experience covering internals, CRDs, operators, cluster architecture, etcd backup and restore, and cluster-health troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency with Terraform and Helm.
- Deep GitOps experience with ArgoCD and declarative infrastructure and continuous deployment patterns.
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for cluster-health and performance observability.
- Comfort working with complex state management representing real-world infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of experience working with production Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
- Strong Go skills for system-level tooling, controllers, and distributed systems components.
- Preferred qualifications include policy-as-code and Kubernetes security tooling, systems or distributed-systems programming, AWS, GCP, Azure, managed Kubernetes services, developer-tools or infrastructure-product experience, and PostHog familiarity.
