Responsibilities
- Improve the full lifecycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Analyze ITSM activities and provide development teams with feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.
- Support pre-launch activities including system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Monitor availability, latency, and overall system health for live services.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and development velocity.
- Support CI/CD pipelines through validation and operational gating, and advance DevOps automation practices.
- Lead sustainable incident response, blameless post-mortems, and production-event troubleshooting to optimize mean time to recover.
- Collaborate with global teams across multiple technology hubs and time zones.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
- Experience debugging and optimizing code and automating routine tasks.
- Experience with one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is preferred.
- Experience supporting production AI, machine learning, data platforms, or large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience working across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and build relationships.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef is desired.
- Strong systematic problem-solving, communication, ownership, urgency, and stakeholder-management skills.
