Responsibilities
- Lead the full service lifecycle from architecture and design through deployment, operations, and continuous optimization.
- Analyze ITSM performance and establish feedback loops with engineering teams to address systemic resiliency gaps.
- Define production readiness standards, operational design reviews, capacity planning, and launch governance.
- Develop monitoring frameworks for availability, latency, system health, and proactive incident prevention.
- Champion automation-first practices to reduce manual effort and improve deployment velocity and reliability.
- Lead the design and governance of CI/CD pipelines with validation, operational gates, and environment best practices.
- Drive incident response, mitigation, stakeholder communication, blameless postmortems, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across global teams and mentor junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure, or DevOps roles.
- Experience across enterprise platforms, Linux/UNIX systems, operating systems, and database environments including Oracle and SQL.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Strong DevOps and CI/CD experience supporting automation, deployment pipelines, and operational improvements.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Go, C, C++, Perl, or Ruby.
- Experience with security or enterprise monitoring environments, coding, and system-level design.
- Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Strong program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working across development, operations, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and cloud-native architectures.
- Ability to assess processes, challenge the status quo, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
