Responsibilities
- Lead site reliability initiatives through system design consulting, performance engineering, chaos testing, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Monitor and communicate service availability, latency, performance, and overall system health after launch.
- Scale systems through automation and recommend changes that improve reliability, engineering velocity, and performance.
- Review production incidents and drive solutions that prevent recurrence.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while maintaining technology roadmaps.
- Build, manage, and maintain dashboards reflecting system health.
- Coach and mentor technical talent and collaborate across Software Engineering, Operations, and internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of web applications, distributed systems infrastructure, architecture, and software engineering concepts.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with static analysis tools and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Concourse.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, ownership, and relationship-building skills in large-scale and geographically distributed organizations.
- Preferred experience with Java, Python, Scala, BitBucket, Maven, Gatling, Blazemeter, Kubernetes and Helm Chart deployments, cloud-native application performance tuning, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and on-soil solutions.
