Responsibilities
- Build and maintain observability dashboards, automated alerts, runbooks, and remediation scripts.
- Develop automation using Python, Java, and shell scripting to eliminate manual operational processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex production issues across distributed systems spanning on-premises data centers and AWS.
- Configure and tune Datadog and Observe monitoring, build actionable dashboards, and reduce alert noise.
- Participate in on-call incident response, diagnose production incidents, and contribute to blameless postmortems.
- Use agentic AI tools to develop solutions, draft runbooks, and build automation agents.
- Automate secrets and certificate rotation and provisioning.
- Build, test, and deploy automation through CI/CD pipelines and API automation frameworks.
Requirements
- Professional fluency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Background in SRE, production operations, or reliability engineering.
- At least 4 years of DevOps Engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 4 years of experience with Java, Python, or Go.
- At least 2 years of experience with cloud-native technologies including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- At least 2 years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Shell or Bash scripting.
- At least 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.
- Preferred: experience with agentic AI tools such as Claude Code or Copilot CLI.
- Preferred: troubleshooting and debugging experience across distributed systems.
- Preferred: familiarity with payments, financial services, or other regulated high-availability domains.
- Preferred: knowledge or experience with networking concepts including TCP, DNS, and TLS.
