Base Salary
$128k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build infrastructure and automation in AWS and on-premises environments for ML application development and deployment.
- Lead system design and architectural discussions for the MLOps suite while meeting performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Research, evaluate, and implement MLOps tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Optimize ML workflows for efficient and reproducible model deployment and monitoring.
- Automate ML operations, including feature engineering pipelines and deployment strategies using Kubernetes, Airflow, and other orchestration tools.
- Own development platforms serving internal customers and collaborate across ML, data science, product engineering, and infrastructure teams.
- Enforce coding standards, conduct design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and lead technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on production-grade frameworks or applications.
- Strong software engineering skills in complex, multi-language systems and scalable backend architecture.
- Experience with Kubernetes, cloud computing platforms, observability and monitoring tools, DevOps principles, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience owning development platforms and serving internal customers.
- Proficiency in Python with exposure to additional programming languages.
- Preferred experience with PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Airflow, Kubeflow, model lifecycle management, feature stores, model monitoring, and CI/CD for ML.
- Preferred experience with streaming data processing using Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in ML systems.
- Experience using AI assistants such as CoPilot or Cursor.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, critical-thinking, influencing, leadership, and organizational skills.
