Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end definition, design, and implementation of resilient control plane and data plane services.
- Design an extensible platform API, including data modeling, versioning, backward compatibility, REST or gRPC interfaces, and customer integrations.
- Architect telemetry covering metrics, logs, traces, platform services, and the health and status of provisioned Airflow instances.
- Ensure services, images, dependencies, and configurations operate across connected private clouds and zero-egress or air-gapped environments.
- Translate enterprise infrastructure needs into execution roadmaps and serve as the technical face of the engineering team.
- Lead design reviews, contribute critical code, promote operational excellence, and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with Staff, Senior Staff, or Principal-level experience in enterprise infrastructure, DBaaS, or private cloud organizations.
- Proven experience building production-grade infrastructure control planes and designing APIs for programmatic workflows and user interfaces.
- Practical experience designing and implementing observability stacks using metrics, logs, and traces in isolated environments.
- Strong Kubernetes operational and architectural knowledge, including custom Operators and CRDs, Helm deployments, and the Kubernetes API.
- Hands-on systems design experience across AWS, GCP, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, and bare-metal on-premises infrastructure.
- Expert software development skills in languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript, with knowledge of distributed state stores, concurrency, and network security patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including authoring technical one-pagers and RFCs and presenting to executives and enterprise clients.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, align with product and executive stakeholders, mentor senior engineers, and contribute high-leverage code.
