Base Salary
$285k - $315k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to specify, design, architect, and build features and systems.
- Own and evolve core platform architecture, including service boundaries, data models, multi-tenant scale, and reliability.
- Define, build, and maintain testing strategy with quality engineers.
- Lead technical discussions and mentor and provide feedback to engineers.
- Interview and recruit talented engineers to grow the team.
- Build on a stack of TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Build AI solutions using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, and classification.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of AI-powered product experiences from problem definition and experimentation through reliable, scalable production systems.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software experience architecting, building, launching, and maintaining complex systems.
- Principal-level experience driving technical strategy and architectural evolution across entire organizations.
- Demonstrated cross-team leadership and a record of improving technical architecture and company-wide outcomes.
- Deep experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed SaaS or platform architectures, including multi-tenant systems, event-driven systems, or data platforms.
- Experience building AI applications and shipping AI-powered product features to production, ideally including LLM integration, retrieval, experimentation, and measurement.
- Hands-on experience shipping valuable products to production using real user feedback.
- Strong coding fundamentals and deep platform architecture experience.
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
- A high bar for software quality and alignment with Ironclad’s values.
- A formal degree is not required.
