Base Salary

$70k - $85k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support complex stock plan services applications on a z/OS mainframe platform.
  • Gather requirements, develop software, conduct end-to-end and system testing, and produce comprehensive application documentation.
  • Define application-level architecture with attention to scalability, extensibility, and established standards.
  • Perform mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning to reduce I/O, CPU time, MSUs, and MIPS.
  • Provide on-site and on-call support, serve as a subject matter expert, and participate in crisis management.
  • Lead collaborative sessions, project planning, stakeholder ceremonies, and guidance for team members.
  • Review test plans, ensure QA readiness, resolve technical roadblocks, and recommend improvements.
  • Plan schedules and assignments across multiple projects while managing project goals, risks, and technology estimates.
  • Act as a liaison for business units and conduct complex technical and functional analysis across multiple initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise defining, developing, and leading teams implementing scalable application solutions.
  • Demonstrated mainframe application development, automation, and support experience with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated experience with mainframe performance tuning and capacity planning using Strobe, iStrobe, and Platinum Detector.
  • Experience with File-AID, Endeavor, Intertest, Abend-AID, and Control-M for file comparison, version management, debugging, unit testing, and job scheduling.
  • Ability to lead architecture and development efforts, resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with stakeholders and management.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, application testing, QA readiness, project planning, risk management, and technical documentation.

Benefits

  • Base compensation range is $70,000-$85,000.
  • Benefits for eligible regular full-time employees may include 12-25 vacation days depending on grade, company holidays, personal days, sick leave, medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings plans such as 401(k) or RRSP, life and disability insurance, and employee assistance programs.
  • The role includes on-site and on-call support as needed.
