Responsibilities
- Write Linux user-space and kernel code for DMA support across 32-bit drivers and 64-bit virtual memory spaces.
- Develop software at the hardware/software boundary for ASICs, custom FPGAs, media adapters, and PCIe bridges.
- Program networking chips, access ASIC registers, implement timers, and gather packet-flow and congestion statistics.
- Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 communications protocols, including LLDP, 802.1x, BFD, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
- Update hardware forwarding state and reconcile Linux kernel routing with switch forwarding state.
- Implement policy language functionality for filtering and manipulating routing data.
- Develop Go and Python configuration-management services supporting YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC, SSH, and SSL.
- Develop concurrent, fault-tolerant routing protocol agents in C/C++ within a Fedora Linux embedded environment.
- Build and maintain a Python-based automated test harness for hundreds of devices under test.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, React.js, Redux.js, Node.js, networking, Linux, embedded systems, algorithms, programming, or software development.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative, highly technical team environment.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving challenging problems using technology.
