Base Salary

$221k - $405k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning models for personalized recommendations, search, spam detection, topic labeling, and related applications.
  • Work with Bluesky’s large open dataset, social graph, and content.
  • Run machine learning tests and experiments and document findings for future iterations.
  • Ensure algorithms provide accurate recommendations and optimized user experiences.
  • Train, retrain, monitor, and operate machine learning systems at scale in production.
  • Extend and optimize existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recent experience in machine learning or data science roles, focused on recommendations and search.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch and related modules.
  • Familiarity with data structures, data modeling, software architecture, and high-scale technologies.
  • Experience with recommendation systems, user behavior modeling, and social graph analysis is preferred.
  • Familiarity or proficiency with Golang is preferred.
  • Experience with Ray, BigQuery, and Postgres is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
