Responsibilities
- Develop and architect capabilities for PowerScale and ObjectScale storage platforms across the full software development life cycle.
- Create technical designs and maintain comprehensive documentation for features and improvements.
- Conduct discovery tasks and proof-of-concepts involving modern networking solutions.
- Implement standards and practices supporting software quality and security.
- Coach and mentor more junior team members.
Requirements
- Exceptional programming skills with 8+ years of related experience.
- Strong C and/or Python skills and willingness to learn across the stack.
- Excellent understanding of modern Linux, including the kernel, drivers, containers, early boot, and other low-level technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently and own tasks from design through implementation.
- Familiarity and hands-on experience with storage systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as Ethernet and InfiniBand is desirable.
- Ability to learn new tools, languages, and frameworks through training and on-the-job experience.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment.
