Responsibilities
- Modernize Citi’s FX trade processing platform and support migration to the strategic risk platform.
- Build and integrate trade feed, reconciliation, and control components.
- Improve build, deployment, cloud-enablement, environment-management, and automated-testing practices.
- Support modernization of established technology and automation of regression testing across multiple projects.
- Champion engineering best practices across the FX developer community and coach junior team members and analysts.
- Analyze complex business, system, and industry processes to resolve high-impact problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Provide advanced Java development expertise and ensure application designs follow the overall architecture blueprint.
- Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Analyze how architecture and infrastructure integrate to achieve business goals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience is required.
- Strong core Java experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, and OAuth.
- Thorough knowledge of clean-code practices and test-driven development.
- Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven.
- Solid Linux/Unix skills.
- Experience with build platforms such as Jenkins or TeamCity.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, OpenShift, and Docker is advantageous.
- Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry is desirable.
- Experience with scaling and orchestration frameworks such as Conductor and Temporal is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI is sought.
