Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot platform components across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Operate and sustain Kubernetes-based containerized workloads, application deployments, configuration management, and platform updates.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation technologies.
- Support CI/CD pipeline development and secure, repeatable platform deployments.
- Implement platform security configurations involving identity-aware access, network segmentation, and least-privilege controls.
- Onboard mission tenants, applications, and shared services onto the enterprise platform.
- Monitor platform health, availability, and performance using logging, metrics, alerting, and dashboards.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated compute, storage, networking, identity, and container infrastructure incidents.
- Troubleshoot Linux, DNS, routing, load balancing, firewall, and identity and access management issues.
- Investigate incidents, document findings, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions and automation improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel on security configurations, continuous monitoring, and accreditation documentation.
- Provide technical guidance to Tier 2 support personnel and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
- Work rotating on-site shifts and participate in a shared after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
- Hands-on production experience operating and troubleshooting containerized workloads using Kubernetes or a Kubernetes-based platform.
- Experience supporting AWS, Azure, or a government cloud region along with hybrid cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot Linux systems, DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and identity and access management layers.
- Experience supporting production systems under defined service levels, including incident and problem management.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, or ability to obtain the certification within the established timeframe.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and participate in after-hours on-call coverage.
- Experience with enterprise platforms across multiple classification levels or security enclaves and cross-domain data movement is preferred.
- Familiarity with zero trust architecture, ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, observability tools, RMF authorization or cATO activities, Kubernetes certifications, cloud professional certifications, and Intelligence Community or Department of Defense mission programs is preferred.
