Base Salary
$115k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications and services used in financial risk workflows and data processing.
- Collaborate with product managers, quants, and engineers to clarify requirements and implement solutions.
- Participate in design discussions and improve system scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Build and maintain integrations and pipelines for trade, position, market, and reference data.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to software quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot defects, perform root-cause analysis, and improve system stability.
- Assist with story creation, effort estimation, and delivery planning.
- Document implementation details, design decisions, and APIs.
- Support build pipelines, CI/CD processes, and release activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Proficiency in Python or another modern object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++.
- Exposure to or basic experience with APIs, microservices, or backend service development.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and participation in code reviews.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in financial markets or risk management is a plus but not required.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD workflows, cloud environments, financial services, or data-intensive and distributed systems is preferred but not required.
