Responsibilities
- Envision, champion, and support novel ML systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations for real-world problems.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering counterparts to design and build efficient AI solutions for Airbnb Community Support products.
- Share and apply the latest AI and ML technologies with teams across China and the US.
- Develop AI models, ML services, and tools including LLM fine-tuning and optimization, RAG/Search, LLM evaluation and testing automation, feedback-based learning, and guardrails.
Requirements
- PhD or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of machine learning engineering experience with ownership of large-scale software systems.
- Experience designing and developing AI and machine learning systems and services.
- Passion for building efficient and scalable ML-powered products.
- Experience with LLM-driven chatbot and Agentic AI products is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across engineering, product, and design organizations.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential.
