Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate, and maintain OTA and OTW upgrade solutions for Linux and MCU platforms.
- Develop secure upgrade workflows covering package creation, validation, signing, installation, rollback, and status management.
- Optimize upgrade transmission, resume, retry, and exception-recovery mechanisms to improve reliability.
- Manage upgrade package versions, release processes, lifecycle management, compatibility, and rollback across versions.
- Diagnose upgrade issues in production and laboratory environments and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with hardware, platform, application, testing, quality, product, and field-support teams to integrate and deploy upgrade functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++ with development experience on Linux and MCU platforms.
- Practical engineering experience with OTA and OTW upgrades.
- Understanding of software distribution, upgrade package formats, signature verification, security validation, and rollback strategies.
- Embedded-system debugging experience using logs, serial interfaces, packet capture, and version analysis.
- Strong cross-team communication, documentation, and problem-analysis skills, including the ability to produce design documents, test plans, and failure reviews.
