Responsibilities
- Define technical vision and architecture roadmaps across business areas.
- Translate business strategies into scalable engineering systems and technical initiatives.
- Raise engineering standards through architectural reviews and systemic improvements.
- Design, prototype, and execute complex, high-risk, or foundational systems hands-on.
- Mentor engineers and support talent development.
- Establish practices for observability, failure-domain isolation, disaster recovery, and incident resolution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience engineering complex digital products.
- Mastery of distributed systems design, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and failure-mode analysis for high-concurrency systems serving millions of active users.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers.
- Exceptional communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs, risk profiles, and architectural decisions.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
- Experience with Clojure is valued, but willingness to learn is supported.
