Base Salary

$120k - $140k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the sales team to understand client needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead the technical discovery process with prospective clients, analyzing their existing systems and designing tailored solutions.
  • Support sales presentations and demonstrations by articulating the technical aspects of Kira's platform.
  • Develop and present high-level architectural designs and detailed technical proposals.
  • Serve as a technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping prospects evaluate Kira's platform.
  • Lead technical proof-of-concepts and pilot implementations, ensuring smooth handoffs between teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback.
  • Create clear technical documentation, including integration guides and implementation playbooks.
  • Drive repeatable processes and best practices for scaling implementations across districts.
  • Maintain expertise in educational technology, data systems integration, and security standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to sales team members.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar technical pre-sales role.
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise-level sales processes, including technical discovery and proposal creation.
  • Strong technical fluency in discussing APIs, system architecture, and data flows.
  • Strong knowledge of educational technology systems, including integration with SIS and LMS.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset in designing client-focused solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for education and using technology to drive positive outcomes for students.
  • Low-ego collaborator who values clarity, ownership, and speed.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
