Base Salary
$85k - $118k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and support applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices frameworks.
- Support the design and implementation of cloud-native applications and services.
- Develop event-driven solutions using messaging and integration technologies.
- Build and support API integrations between internal and external systems.
- Write secure, maintainable, and well-tested code and participate in code reviews and testing activities.
- Participate in Agile development ceremonies and apply CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevSecOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues with guidance from senior engineers.
- Use AI-powered developer tools to improve productivity, code quality, and learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and expand technical knowledge of cloud, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of software engineering or application development experience, including internships, co-ops, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Basic understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development and exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, or asynchronous processing.
- Experience developing, consuming, or supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle practices, Agile methodologies, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar development tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShift concepts is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience may include coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional work with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, or cloud technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Kafka, messaging or event-streaming technologies, relational or NoSQL databases, automated testing frameworks, software quality tools, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
